Heatmap

Heatmap is a graphical representation of statistical data that matches the intensity of a variable quantity to a range of tones or a color chart on a two-dimensional matrix (video, image or geographic map). These maps can be used as activity maps, especially to show how often people (for example, cyclists or customers) or events (for example, crime or rain) pass through a given area.
